Maintaining and updating the Greater Manchester Historic Environment Record. Providing data to enquirers including commercial organisations, students, members of the public and government bodies. Providing historic environment advice for farmland stewardship schemes.

Research Interests

Evolution of landscapes, particularly 19th- and 20th- century urban and suburban areas. Fossilisation of earlier landscape features into the present day. Survival of evidence for prehistoric activity in Greater Manchester. Survival of medieval and early post-medieval houses and associated landscapes.
