I’m delighted to announce that the annual Greater Manchester Archaeology Day will be held in Peel Hall at the University of Salford on Saturday 29th November and, as usual, will showcase the latest work carried out across the county by professional and amateur archaeologists. This includes some truly remarkable discoveries from the Bronze Age to the later 19th century that have come to light in Greater Manchester during the past 12 months. As a glance at the programme below will suggest, the event is ‘a must’ for anyone with an interest in the wonderful archaeology of the North West.
