The Middleton Big Dig provides a unique and exciting opportunity to help uncover the archaeology and history of Tonge Hall, an Elizabethan timber-framed hall in Middleton. The Big Dig will start on Monday 29th June and continue until Sunday 5th July 2026, with morning (10am-12:30pm) and afternoon (1:30pm-4:00pm) sessions available for anyone interested in participating in the excavation.
